1912 **100^th anniversary** Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., was born in Washington, DC.  He was the commander of the Tuskegee Airmen and the first African-American general in the US Air Force.  He also headed the federal sky marshal program and was an assistant secretary at US DOT.
