ITS Specialist
The Norwalk Transit District is seeking to hire an ITS Specialist to provide technical support for its ITS hardware and software, including computer aided dispatch (CAD), automatic vehicle location (AVL), automatic passenger counting (APC), fixed route and para-transit scheduling, customer information and related systems. Also, collects, analyzes and organizes data to assist Norwalk Transit District operations. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and assist with final design, implementation, and operation of a state of the art ITS system.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Applied Math/Statistics, Engineering, Information Technology, or Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems. Applicants must have three (3) years of experience in a business environment providing support for business decisions, including analytical support, data gathering, reviewing quality of product delivery and performing statistical analysis. Excellent oral and written skills, and must be able to demonstrate those skills. Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Access and (MS excel, and SQL or Oracle database programming.
This management position is a direct report to senior management and that will be reflected in the compensation package. Norwalk Transit District is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
